Job summary

Dover Fueling Solutions in Austin, TX is seeking a Production Operator to join a team-based manufacturing environment, performing precision assembly tasks as described by drawings and instructions.

You will advance in responsibilities, work with zone teams, uphold safety and quality standards, and contribute to continuous improvement while standing up to 10 hours and lifting up to 40 lbs.

Qualifications

• Ability to stand for long shifts and lift up to 40 lbs as required.
• Reliable, detail-oriented team player with good manual dexterity.
• Capable of following written and verbal instructions in English.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of semi-repetitive or unique precision assembly operations per drawings or instructions.
• Work with Zone Team Members to complete daily tasks and meet production goals.
• Follow safety protocols and participate in continuous improvement activities.
• Maintain Zone cleanliness and organize tools and materials efficiently.

Advance in their job duties and abilities through on-the-job experiencePerform the full range of duties necessary to build and assemble units in their respective zoneWork with Zone Team Members to execute daily tasks that are consistent with achieving the daily TaskParticipate and promote Zone Safety Hazard avoidance according to training provided, PPE usage, etc.Ability to execute housekeeping responsibilities (6S experience) that are consistent with manufacturing initiativesAbility to understand Quality and Continuous Improvement initiatives as they relate to the tasks in their respective zoneDemonstrated ability to grasp and execute process-related activitiesIt is expected that enhanced proficiency within the Zone will result in active participation in the Employee Suggestions ProgramAbility to understand and engage in the Zone Metrics Indicators to drive continuous improvement/problem solving in the zone; actively identifies detractors and records them on the Tier Production Boards.Power tools usage experienceHigh School Diploma, GED or equivalent education levelAbility and willingness to stand for a minimum of 10 hours per day, and lift up to 40lbs unassisted as requiredExperience using hand and torque-driven toolsBasic PC skills and ability to navigate programs used by the Company for training and/or communication purposesAbility to follow both verbal and written instructions in EnglishAbility to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environmentHigh level of accuracy; keen attention to detailA personality style that is inclusive, communicative and respects othersRecognized by peers as a contributor to achieving the daily TaskCustomer focused, both internal and externalAbility to communicate effectivelyAbility to pass a background check and drug screen.Working schedule:• Day shifts - Monday - Thursday.
