Dover Fueling Solutions in Austin, TX is seeking a Test Operator II to perform a range of semi-repetitive assembly and testing tasks in a team-based manufacturing environment. You will diagnose units, follow detailed instructions, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities include wiring assembly, troubleshooting, reading drawings, and producing testing reports. Candidates should have at least 1 year in wiring, strong attention to detail, and the ability to stand for long

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of wiring assembly experience.
• Experience diagnosing electrical/electronic components is preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience in troubleshooting products.
• 3+ years of experience in Manufacturing environment is required.
• Ability to understand and read working instructions.
• Experience with Lean Tools (A3, 5Why, Fishbone etc.) is preferable.
• Familiarity with Engineering Drawings is preferable.
• Ability to stand for long shifts and lift up to 40 lbs.

• Support zone safety and 6S housekeeping practices.

Headquartered in Austin, TX, DFS has a significant technology development and manufacturing presence worldwide, including facilities in Brazil, China, India, Italy, Poland, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom and the United States.The Test Operator II will work in a team-based manufacturing environment performing a wide variety of semi-repetitive or unique precision assembly operations where methods and sequence of assembly are described by production drawings or detailed written instructions.· Perform a Troubleshooting activities related to wiring or assemblyAdvance in their job duties and abilities through on-the-job experiencePerform the full range of duties necessary to test and diagnose units from other zonesWork with Zone Team Members to execute daily tasks that are consistent with achieving the daily TaskPromote Zone Safety Hazard avoidance according to training provided, PPE usage.Execute and engage other peers in housekeeping responsibilities (6S experience) that are consistent with manufacturing initiativesDrives Quality and Continuous Improvement initiatives as they relate to the tasks in their respective zoneDemonstrated ability to grasp and execute process-related activitiesFully engaged in the Employee Suggestions Program driving not only suggestions in the respective zone but also engage other team members to provide suggestions as well.Fully understand and engaged in the Zone Metrics Indicators to drive continuous improvement / problem solving in the zone; actively identifies detractors and records them on the Tier Production Boards.Perform diagnostics using test stands and test protocols. • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent education levelAt least 1 year of experience in wiring assemblyAt least 1 year of experience in troubleshooting productsPrevious Technical electrical / electronic experience is preferable3+ years of experience in Manufacturing environment is requiredAbility to understand and read working instructionsHave experience using Lean Tools (A3, 5Why, Fishbone diagram, etc.) is preferableHave experience in managing the 7 Elements of Waste is preferableFamiliarity with Engineering Drawings is preferableAbility and willingness to stand for a minimum of 10 hours per day, and lift up to 40lbs unassisted as requiredAbility to handle additional PPEs required for the Test Stand activitiesExperience using hand and torque driven toolsIntermediate PC skills and ability to navigate programs used by the Company for training and/or communication purposesAbility to provide effective testing reports to the Test Engineering teams.Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environmentHigh level of accuracy; keen attention to detailA personality style that is inclusive, communicative and respects othersRecognized by peers as a contributor to achieving the daily TaskCustomer focused, both internal and externalAbility to communicate effectively Working schedule:Day shifts - Monday - Thursday.
