Job summary

Kelly Services in Walker, MI is hiring a Production Operator I (HiLo) to manage a semi-automated canister line, load materials, and prepare packaging for production. The role runs on a day shift (Mon–Fri, 10 AM–6 PM) with potential for transition onto the client’s W2 after contract completion.

You will operate processing equipment, monitor performance, perform initial product testing, and ensure labeling and packaging accuracy while maintaining a clean, compliant workspace.

Our client is a leading adhesives provider focusing on perfecting adhesives and sealants across all industries throughout the world.?

This immediate opportunity in Walker, MI, offers a dynamic work environment with the potential for transition onto our clients W2 after contract completion.

Role Description:

• Run the semi-automated canister line; load canisters, move and add pallets, and load materials into boxes.
• Prepare raw materials and packaging by identifying and transporting the correct quantities to the production area, reporting any deviations, and documenting processes.
• Load Materials into mixers, run mixers/reactors
• Operate processing equipment following detailed instructions and procedures.
• Monitor equipment to ensure smooth operations and maintain desired production rates.
• Perform initial product testing to ensure specifications are met.
• Check labels and packaging materials to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards.
• Package final products in line with high-quality expectations.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Follow all company safety, environmental, and quality standards.
• Complete additional duties as requested by the Production Manager or Supervisor.

Required Skills:

• Packout and general operation support experience.
• Chemical and specialized mixing experience is a priority
• Previous experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or industrial setting is required.
• Periodically wear a respirator.
• Ability to read and comprehend work orders, safety regulations, and quality procedures.
• Experience in an industrial environment (chemical background preferred) with exposure to mixing or batching processes.
