Job summary

Amcor in the United States (Georgia) is seeking a Manufacturing Associate to operate and assist on packaging equipment while adhering to safety, quality, and productivity standards.

You will perform quality inspections, pack finished goods, load rolls, and maintain paperwork and housekeeping to ensure smooth production. The role requires lifting up to 80 pounds and working long shifts on the manufacturing floor with strict adherence to instructions.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 80 pounds.
• Ability to work on Manufacturing floor standing for 12+ hours per day.
• Basic knowledge of manufacturing procedures.
• Ability to understand written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to safely operate, maintain and perform minor adjustments on heavy equipment.
• Ability to maintain effective working relationships with others.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment and assist on packaging with safety, quality, productivity and housekeeping.
• Follow PPE requirements and safety rules; report unsafe conditions to supervisor.
• Maintain general area housekeeping and document in daily cleaning logs.
• Follow GMPs to assure food product safety.
• Perform finished quality inspections and packaging.
• Make boxes, load/unload rolls and create tractability labels.
• Read and understand work orders to meet product requirements.
• Perform first piece quality checks and hourly roll quality checks as per Production Work Orders.
• Assist CO II's in changeovers and keep lines in operation with minimal adjustments.
• Complete and submit accurate production paperwork to shift supervisor.
• Maintain a safe and clean work area including cleaning logs.
• All other assignments as directed by supervision.
