Job summary

The Kraft Heinz Company in Champaign, IL is seeking energetic production workers to join our local plant. You will participate in box making, packing, line operation, and equipment cleaning while upholding safety and quality standards.

The role offers 2nd and 3rd shifts, weekend availability, overtime potential, and on-the-job training. You will work with a team to meet production targets and follow GMPs in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in production/manufacturing preferred.
• Able to operate a forklift – Kraft Heinz will train.
• Able to operate a computer.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Able to stand for extended periods.
• Able to work safely at heights.
• Attention to detail to avoid and/or identify errors.
• Able to understand and follow instructions, with good oral and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Load raw materials and packaging supplies into machines or workstations; verify correct materials are being used.
• Monitor product flow and quality during production; identify and report defects, contamination risks, or equipment issues.
• Package finished goods accurately per specifications (case counts, labels, codes, allergens, date/lot coding).
• Stack, palletize, and wrap product; move materials/finished goods using carts, pallet jacks, or forklift.
• Operate production machinery and equipment as trained, including starting/stopping lines, monitoring performance, and making minor adjustments (speed, alignment, settings).
• Sanitation, as required, in processing and packaging areas.
• Documentation of pertinent information where required.
• Follow all safety rules, food safety requirements, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) at all times.
• Maintain PPE standards per policy.
• Report safety hazards, near misses, injuries, or food safety concerns immediately.
• Comply with all company policies and general safety rules while performing duties.
• Participate and collaborate in meetings.
• Filling in for other positions and training other employees as assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
