Job summary

Commercial Metals (CMC) is seeking candidates for fabrication/production roles in Houston, TX. The position involves learning equipment, loading and unloading materials, and maintaining a clean work area while following safety procedures.

You will operate various fabrication machines, cross-train on multiple systems, and contribute to a team that supports steel reinforcement and ground stabilization projects.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work outside under all weather conditions and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Able to cross-train and follow safety policies.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
• Read and understand technical documents and service manuals.

Responsibilities

• Attend training regarding applicable equipment.
• Assist in loading fabricated rebar on trailers and unloading stock material from trailers.
• Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition.
• Operate production machines according to established procedures.
• Participate in CMC safety programs and uphold safety culture.
• Crosstrain on multiple machines.
• Operate rebar fabrication equipment (shears, benders, cranes, forklift, threaders, welders, etc.).
