Job summary

Commercial Metals Company (CMC) in the Houston area seeks individuals for a hands-on role supporting fabrication, loading, unloading, and maintenance across our production sites. You will learn equipment operations and safety practices to contribute to daily outputs.

Candidates should be able to work outside in various weather, lift up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and join a team focused on quality and safety in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• OSHA, EPA, and company safety policies must be followed.
• Ability to read technical documents and service manuals.
• Strong work ethic, punctuality, and ability to work overtime.
• Team-oriented with attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Attend training regarding applicable equipment.
• Assist in loading fabricated rebar on trailers and unloading stock material from trailers.
• Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition.
• Operate production machines in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
• Participate in the CMC Safety Programs and uphold the Safety Culture.
• Operate fabrication equipment such as shears, benders, cranes, forklift, threaders, forging, welders, etc.
