Group Summary:
The Magna Exteriors portfolio of products includes access systems such as liftgates, exterior trim, modular systems, front-end modules including fascia, active aerodynamic systems and other lightweight structural components for automotive, commercial truck and other industrial markets. Job Responsibilities:

General Job Duties
  • Work Hours: 5am - 5:20pm
  • Exhibit an objective, fair and professional attitude and behavior that exemplifies the principles outlined in The MAGNA Employee’s Charter and Decostar Handbook to maintain a positive and productive workplace.

  • Demonstrate problem solving skills in our continuous improvement work environment.
  • Participate in your work area continuous improvement programs and activities including Lean it Up and STAR programs.
  • Support all customer and Decostar quality standards.
  • Know and live our environmental objectives and policy.
  • Perform cross-functional job assignments as required and per the department’s established procedures and work instructions.
  • Ensure a spirit of respect, cooperation, ethical conduct and fair dealing.
  • Maintain a clean work area (5S) and report malfunctioning equipment.
  • Return all tools to proper storage area after use.
  • Utilize our Open Door processes to resolve workplace issues.
Specific Job Duties:
  • Follow safety rules of Decostar, use all appropriate Personal Protective Equipment and work in a manner that is conducive to maintaining a safe and healthful workplace including: training of new employees, immediately reporting all accidents, injuries, near misses, unsafe acts or conditions and correcting or commending health and safety performance. Understand OSHA and EPA as they pertain to your work area and actively participate in accident investigations and completion of all open action items.
  • Perform all job duties per the work instructions/work guidance sheets for your work area.
  • Strive to meet or exceed departmental performance objectives on a daily basis as directed by the Shift leadership.
  • Perform all work within the guidelines of the control plan to ensure parts quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Record and report all data required to maintain daily production records and submit the data to the Shift Leadership or directly input into the data as directed.
  • Direct all non-conforming parts to the appropriate reprocess area.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Shift Leadership (or his/her designee)
Educational Requirements
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English effectively is required.
  • Basic mathematical skills required.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
Related Work Experience
  • Previous manufacturing experience preferred.
