Description

Duties and Responsibilities (essential duties are italicized)

  • Production line operation – 40% of the time
  • Pulls work orders at the beginning of the shift and throughout the shift as needed.
  • Verifies work order labels and data, ensuring accuracy prior to starting production.
  • Inspects product lab code, label, fill level, and cross-threads.
  • Runs production equipment at standard rates set by Company.
  • Begins production run, per work order.
  • Comfortable using a weight scale for accuracy.
  • Prints and labels boxes.
  • Pulls flattened case boxes and assembles enough of them for that shift.
  • Prints and labels cases.
  • Records production run data on work order and in ERP System (EPICOR)
  • Stops machine at the end of the run.
  • Cleans and maintains primary production machine and work area.
  • Performs basic troubleshooting on machine, resolving basic problems.
  • Escalates machine problems to the Maintenance Team and or Lead as required.
  • Performs in a manner consistent with company Core Values and Purpose.
  • Attends all scheduled meetings, missing no more than 10% annually.
  • Clocks in and out for work and lunch with no more than 1 error per month.
  • Follows all OSHA and other safety guidelines.
  • Actively demonstrates teamwork at all times.
  • Manages any stress on the job, including but not limited to meeting deadlines.
  • Adheres to company safety standards at all times, such that no serious (requiring medical attention) injury occurred during the prior 12-month period.
  • Follows other policies and procedures such that there are no verbal or written warnings during the evaluation period.

The duties described above are not inclusive. Additional duties may be permanently assigned or required from time to time due to the need to respond to customer needs and remain competitive in the marketplace.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities Required

  • Basic computer usage including mouse.
  • Ability to learn label printing software.
  • Basic understanding of English to read work orders and write information.
  • Mechanical aptitude to perform set up, daily start up, tuning, minor repair of filling and packaging.
  • Ability to read and understand work instructions and maintenance manuals.
  • Ability to perform basic addition and subtraction.
  • Ability to use logic to troubleshoot production machine issues.
  • Ability to visually inspect required coding, product labeling, and finished goods to identify defects and to match products with the appropriate packaging.
  • Ability to develop thorough understanding of operational procedures to practice safe manufacturing.
  • Ability to manage stress.
  • Ability to meet physical demands of the job which include, but are not limited to: sitting, walking, bending, pushing, pulling, lifting, and walking for extended periods of time on a concrete floor, and occasionally lifting and carrying items which may weigh up to 25 pounds.
  • Position spends approximately 95% of time sitting at a worktable using hands to pull and fill boxes and 5% standing or walking.
  • Vision must be within or correctable to within normal range.
  • Must work from the McKinney facility and be able to work on time on a regular basis during scheduled shift. Must be available for evening/weekend work as needed.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is exposed to production equipment at various times.

This position is for kitting/Production at our Wilmeth warehouse in McKinney. This is a day shift position. This position pays $16.45/hour with the eligibility for annual raises.
