Job summary

General Mills Geneva, IL is seeking a Production Operator for Desserts on 2nd/3rd shifts. You will support packaging and processing operations, perform quality checks, and assist with startup, changeover, and shutdown of equipment.

The role offers starting pay of $21.58 per hour with shift differentials, overtime potential, and generous benefits including vacation, holidays, 401(k) matching, and comprehensive health coverage.

Qualifications

• Must communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors in English.
• Mechanical/technical experience in manufacturing preferred.
• Basic computer skills to use digital tools for daily tasks.
• Ability to obtain forklift/PIV certification and operate equipment safely.

Responsibilities

• Support production packaging and processing operations and sanitation.
• Troubleshoot machinery issues and coordinate with maintenance.
• Calibrate packaging systems to meet specs and perform quality checks.
• Participate in startup, changeover, and shutdown of equipment.
• Complete documentation accurately and on time.
• Assist in training new employees.
