We are seeking Production Operators (Die Cast or Machining) on all shifts at our Sun Prairie, WI location. Apply today!

Position Summary

The General Production role involves performing secondary/value-added operations on aluminum castings, such as trimming, inspecting, deburring, packing, and/or machining in a synchronized manufacturing environment. Cross-training in all operations while meeting production, safety, quality, and housekeeping standards is required.

Essential Functions

  • Operate trim press, sand, drill, file, and/or knife castings as required (Die Cast) or operate CNCs, multiple station machine centers, drill presses, etc. (Machining)
  • Perform quality checks and document using simple gauges, precision measuring devices, and visual inspection
  • Perform safety checks to ensure safety devices are operational, including understanding of Lock-Out Tag Out procedures
  • Handle parts manually from work-in-process containers to shipping containers, using pallet jacks, walkie, etc.
  • Pack parts properly per instructions and apply proper labeling to meet customer requirements
  • Maintain accurate records (route sheets and count sheets)
  • Read and follow operator and setup instructions; inform supervisor of updates or corrections needed
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
  • Perform and document total preventive maintenance (TPM) operations as required
  • Participate as a trainer when necessary; perform other duties as assigned

Working Conditions

Work in a heavy production environment with high noise and heat levels. Exposure to moving machine components during troubleshooting. Minimum 40 hours/week, with some overtime and weekend work. Typical shifts: Monday – Friday 7:00am – 3:00pm; 3:00pm – 11:00pm; or Sunday night 11:00pm – Friday 7:00am.

Physical Demands

Occasional lifting up to 40 pounds, prolonged standing, use of tools, repetitive tasks involving bending, lifting, reaching, twisting. Visual acuity required for quality inspection.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Basic reading and math skills required.
