Job description

This position will work out of Portage, WI on 4th Shift - Friday night and Saturday night, 10:30 PM - 10:30 AM, along with two 8-hour shifts during the week (Monday - Friday) on 3rd shift. This position offers a $3.00 per hour shift premium.

Saint-Gobain's Portage, Wisconsin manufacturing team produces silicone medical components and tubing used in life-saving medical devices such as IV drug delivery sets, diabetes management, Covid diagnostics, and ventilators, as well as components for procedures such as eye surgeries.

In this role, you will:

  1. Safely and efficiently operate manufacturing equipment to meet expected production rates, including operating molding presses, inspecting parts, packaging, labeling, washing parts, and tending to the oven room.
  2. Work closely with QC inspectors to communicate changes or issues regarding part and process quality.
  3. Collaborate with the Manufacturing Technician team, Maintenance team, and Production Leads to ensure consistent and efficient operation of equipment to meet safety, quality, and production goals.
  4. Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean workspace adhering to 5S standards.
  5. Effectively communicate problems to QC and technical resources to ensure quality parts are produced.
  6. Maintain proper documentation for product traceability.
  7. Use Factivity software for managing production, real-time labor, job tracking, and machine monitoring.
  8. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors and leads.

Shift Details: The weekend 4th shift runs from 10:30 PM to 10:30 AM, starting Friday night and ending Sunday morning, with a paid lunch period. Additionally, you will work two 8-hour shifts during the week, preferably on 3rd shift with flexible days. This shift is eligible for a $3.00 shift differential added to the base hourly rate of $18.00 per hour.
