Abbott is hiring a Sr Production Equipment Operator at the Altavista, VA Nutrition manufacturing site. You will safely operate, clean and help maintain high‑speed production equipment and ensure proper identification and traceability of products and materials.

Working on the Weekend Shift, you’ll build records, manage material supplies, troubleshoot equipment issues and support compliance with FDA/OSHA policies while contributing to Abbott’s mission to nourish millions of families worldwide.

• Required: High School Diploma or GED.
• 6 months prior manufacturing experience.
• Proficiency in basic math, good verbal and written communication skills.
• Some mechanical aptitude.

Responsabilidades

• Safely operate, clean and help maintain the production related equipment both complex and standard high-speed production equipment that makes our industry-leading nutrition products.
• Maintain accurate and legible records and documentation.
• Maintain an adequate supply of materials for the equipment in operation.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Ensure that both products and materials are of proper identification, correct codes and expiration dates.
• Perform periodic on-line visual quality inspections and offline quality tests.

What You’ll Work On

You’ll be accountable for meeting our compliance standards including FDA, OSHA and Abbott policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED

Preferred Qualifications

• 6 months prior manufacturing experience
• Proficiency in basic math, good verbal and written communication skills
• Some mechanical aptitude

The base pay for this position is

$17.15 – $34.25/hour
