Job summary

Saint-Gobain in Portage, Wisconsin is seeking a Gland Cell Operator for the 3rd shift. You will safely run gland molding equipment, maintain 5S standards, and support quality and engineering teams with day-to-day operations.

Responsibilities include operating molding equipment, documenting processes, and preparing molds and gland tools. Minimum HS diploma or GED preferred; candidate must be able to lift up to 40 lbs and stand long shifts.

3rd Shift

• Sunday Night - Friday Morning: 10:15pm to 6:45am

The PC1 Gland Cell Operator safely produces quality products per documented procedures. In addition, assist engineering and quality in day-to-day operations of gland molding machines including quality issues, plate cleaning, preventative mold maintenance, and press cleaning at work order changes. Position will be cross-trained with the “Part Quality Focus” and must be able to effectively communicate to operators and technical personnel.

Qualifications and Physical Demands:

• Must be at least 62 inches (5'2") from armpit to floor to operate gland cell press.
• Strong team player
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to push, pull and lift 25 lbs. on a regular basis
• Basic Math skills
• Basic computer operating skills
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, push and pull objects (weighing up to 40 lbs.) for 8-12 hours during your shift
