General Mills is hiring a Production Operator for the La Tiara line in Kansas City, MO. Starting pay is $19.42 per hour with a $1.00 shift differential for 2nd and 3rd shifts.

The role offers 8-hour shifts, overtime, and a host of benefits including vacation, holidays, PTO, 401(k) matching, and health coverage. The successful candidate will troubleshoot machinery, calibrate systems, participate in startup/changeover/shutdown activities, and perform quality and safety checks in a 24/7 plant

Competenze

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to understand and communicate in English with coworkers and supervisors.
• Basic computer skills to use digital tools and systems.
• Experience with machine operation or mechanical/technical work is preferred.
• Experience in a manufacturing/production environment is preferred.

Mansioni

• Troubleshoot problems with machinery and partner with maintenance staff to resolve issues.
• Calibrate processing and packaging systems daily to meet required specifications.
• Participate in startup, changeover, and shut down of operating equipment.
• Perform quality and safety checks on products and processes.
• Clean and sanitize production equipment and work areas.
• Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives to increase platform performance.
• Assist in training new employees.
