Job summary

Smurfit Westrock in Brownstown, MI is hiring 2nd and 3rd shift Assistant Machine Operators/General Laborers. Starting pay is $22.13/hr, increasing to $27.58/hr after training, plus wellness benefits.

You will stack product, perform quality checks, set up materials, and maintain a clean, safe workspace while learning manufacturing processes and operating equipment. Overtime and weekend shifts apply.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing experience preferred but training is provided.
• Ability to operate manufacturing equipment and power hand tools.
• Read a tape measure, perform basic math, and use a computer for simple tasks.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Military training or technical school preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely perform tasks including stacking product and quality checks.
• Set up materials and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
• Contribute to a culture of safety and efficiency on the line.
• Learn manufacturing processes and operate complex machinery.
