Job summary

Saint-Gobain is seeking a Production Operator to safely and efficiently run manufacturing equipment in the assigned area, producing high‑quality products that meet company standards. The role emphasizes attention to detail, safety compliance, and teamwork to reach daily output goals.

You will monitor quality, perform basic equipment maintenance, record production data, load materials, and participate in Lean initiatives while keeping a clean, safe work environment and supporting plant

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Prior experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred.
• Excellent Attendance Practices Required.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Basic math and record-keeping skills.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and processes.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain manufacturing equipment according to standard procedures and safety protocols while ensuring product specifications, quality and accuracy.
• Ensure products meet quality standards by monitoring for accuracy and reporting deficiencies to the supervisor.
• Perform basic maintenance on machines and equipment, including cleaning and routine checks.
• Accurately record production data, such as quantities, times, and other relevant information.
• Load and unload materials by hand or using a forklift.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and participate in Lean Manufacturing or other improvement initiatives.
• Work collaboratively with other production operators and team members to achieve daily and weekly production targets.
• Promote and support plant initiatives.
• Follow all safety guidelines and company protocols to maintain a safe working environment, wear all required PPE, and participate in safety training.
• Work efficiently to meet daily output goals and contribute to on-time delivery by managing tasks and workload effectively.
• Perform routine housekeeping duties to ensure the work area remains clean, organized, and safe.
• Collaborate with the production team to achieve shared goals and participate in team initiatives.
• Carry out other duties as assigned by leadership.
