Job summary

Moog is seeking a Production Operator-2 to join our onsite team in Blacksburg, VA. The role involves performing basic assembly, reading blueprints, soldering, and operating automated test equipment, all in a quality-driven environment.

The position reports to a Production Coach and requires the ability to understand and apply English work instructions, with salary transparency for $16.00-$20.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred; ability to understand and apply English instructions.
• Ability to perform simple arithmetic.
• Quality conscious with good dexterity.

Responsibilities

• Complete basic assembly operations using required manufacturing documentation.
• Store, clean and maintain tools, equipment and chemicals; verify calibration dates and seals.
• Perform electrical testing using automated test equipment.
• Solder, read from blueprints, and use microscopes.
• Complete paperwork required for each part, accurately & legibly.
• Perform minor rework per Standard Rework Procedures.

High School diploma or GED preferred. Otherwise, demonstrated ability to understand and apply all verbal, written and computer work instructions or training in English, and demonstrated ability to perform simple addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.

Quality conscious, mechanical aptitude, and good dexterity

Responsibilities

• Complete basic assembly operations using required manufacturing documentation.
• Correctly store, clean and maintain tools, equipment and chemicals; verify calibration dates and seals.
• Perform electrical testing using automated test equipment.
• Solder, read from blueprints, and use microscopes.
• Complete paperwork required for each part, accurately & legibly.
• Perform minor rework per Standard Rework Procedures., Quality History Tag Instructions, or rework router.
