Job summary

Moog in Murphy, NC is seeking a Production Operator DCC to assemble electromechanical products and support motor/drive assembly and testing. You'll follow detailed documentation, operate tooling, and ensure components meet specifications while maintaining safety standards.

The role requires basic math, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to lift up to 40 lbs. It may involve standing for long periods and overtime, including Saturdays, in an onsite setting.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred, otherwise ability to understand and apply English instructions and perform basic math.
• Possess mechanical aptitude.
• Experience soldering or ability to become certified.
• Good eyesight with color distinction and good hand dexterity.
• Able to lift 20 lbs frequently and up to 40 lbs occasionally.
• Able to work around magnets with strong electromagnetic fields.

Responsibilities

• Assemble electromechanical products using documentation and tooling; components include rotor, stator sub-assembly, rotor assembly, motor assembly.
• Operate machine stripper or hand tool to remove insulation from lead wire.
• Install lead wire pin connectors.
• Operate drill drivers and automated drivers with feeder bowls.
• Complete final motor assembly and test motor/drive for performance per specifications.
• Load and monitor automated machinery.
• Prepare and package final motor/drive assembly.
• Complete cross-training in all operations.
• Sit or stand long periods, climb/balance, stoop/kneel/crouch/crawl; work overtime including Saturdays.

Requirements:

• High School diploma or GED preferred. Otherwise, demonstrated ability to understand and apply all verbal, written and computer work instructions or training in English, and demonstrated ability to perform simple addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
• Possess Mechanical Aptitude.
• Experience soldering or able to become certified.
• Possess good eyesight with the ability to distinguish colors and good hand dexterity/ range of motion, including mobility.
• Able to lift 20 lbs. frequently and up to 40 lbs. occasionally.
• Ability to work with and around magnets that have a strong electromagnetic field.

Salary Range Transparency:

Murphy, NC $16.00-$20.00 Hourly
