Job summary

Land O'Lakes, Inc. is seeking a Production Operator for the 1st Shift (6:00 AM to 4:30 PM) in Wichita, KS. You will perform frontline production tasks, operate machinery, and package final products for customers, contributing to a farmer-owned cooperative focused on quality and safety.

You will join a Purina Animal Nutrition team that supports US producers and animal owners with nutritious products. Strong safety, teamwork, and problem-solving skills are essential for daily operations.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• 1 year or more of work experience in any industry.
• Basic computer and math skills.
• Able to read, write, comprehend, follow verbal and written instructions in English.
• Willingness to learn new skills, problem-solve and troubleshoot.
• Strong collaboration, communication skills.

Production Operator - 1st Shift Pay: $24.25 per hour Shift & Working Hours: 1st Shift; 6:00 AM to 4:30PM; Weekends/Overtime/Holidays as needed.

In this role, you will be a key member of our Land O'Lakes, Inc. manufacturing team, performing front-line production processes that add value and quality to the inputs and creation of final high-quality products. You will gain skills and experience of taking raw materials to produce our final products for customers. This will include operating machinery and equipment, packaging the final product. This role is part of our Purina Animal Nutrition business who serves producers and animal owners throughout the United States. We innovate nutritional products and practices that unlock the full potential of every animal for a healthier, more productive life.

Preferred Experience:

• 1+ year of manufacturing work experience
• Machine operation and/or forklift experience

Physical Requirements:

• Able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds
• Frequent movement including walking, standing, bending/stooping, turning, twisting, pushing, pulling, raising arms, lifting, climbing and other active movements
• Performing duties while wearing personal protective equipment
• Working in temperature zones that include cold and/or hot environments for extended periods and may include areas where dust and chemicals are present
