Job summary

Georgia-Pacific’s Containerboard division is seeking Production Operators (Service Crew) for the Big Island, Virginia team. Operate machines safely to meet production and quality goals, with opportunities for advancement.

The role features 12-hour shifts (days 6am–6pm and nights 6pm–6am), holidays and overtime. Starting pay is $24.57/hour plus a $1.08 night differential, plus PTO, bonuses potential, healthcare, 401k, and more.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1+ year of experience in farming, carpentry, construction, warehouse, military, production, manufacturing or physical labor.
• Experience using a computer for email, internet, and other applications.

Responsibilities

• Perform operator care duties and minor maintenance such as lubrication.
• Work throughout the mill to meet production and quality goals.
• Learn multiple operator functions in power and recovery, shipping and receiving, and paper machine areas.
• Perform detailed housekeeping to keep machinery functioning and plant clean.
