Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Manufacturing Associate to perform compounding, weighing, mixing, and processing of materials with safe operation of equipment in our facility. You will ensure proper flow of mixed compounds, check raw materials for contamination by color perception, and maintain cleanliness to prevent contamination.

The role requires basic math, ability to read a tape measure, and competent MS Office skills.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • 1 year manufacturing experience is preferred.
  • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) required.
  • Ability to read a tape measure and use MS Office.

Responsibilities

  • Perform compounding, weighing, mixing, processing of materials and safe operation of equipment.
  • Ensure even flow of properly mixed compound throughout manufacturing.
  • Check raw materials for contamination by color perception; weigh and mix as instructed.
  • Inspect scales for accuracy and operate equipment per procedures.
  • Visually check mixing consistency; report issues to the Production Supervisor.
  • Load raw materials and oil into mixer and mix as scheduled.
  • Monitor mixing conditions and adjust setup as needed.
  • Keep mixer clean between batches; prevent material buildup.
  • Maintain clean mill and mill pan areas to prevent contamination.
  • Maintain efficient machine flow to minimize production loss.
  • Report problems to supervision and participate in solutions.
  • Assist in training new Associates as directed by Supervisor.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by Management.

Responsibilities
  • To perform activities regarding compounding, weighing, mixing, processing of materials and safe operation of equipment throughout the facility.
  • To ensure the even flow of the properly mixed compound throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Check all raw materials using color perception for contamination, weigh and mix raw materials as specified on the formulations/instructions.
  • Inspect scales for accuracy and operate equipment according to standard procedures.
  • Visually check mixing consistency of each batch, report inconsistencies, unusual conditions, or any process changes/problems to the Production Supervisor.
  • Load raw materials and oil into mixer and mix in accordance with schedule and related work instructions.
  • Monitor mixing conditions and adjust bulk oil set up as needed for mixing purposes.
  • Ensure mixer is clean of material buildup for changeovers to other materials.
  • Keep mixer chamber clean between batches.
  • Maintain clean mill and mill pan area after every batch to prevent contamination.
  • Maintain efficient flow of machines to minimize production loss.
  • Report any problems immediately to supervision and participate in solutions to those problems.
  • Participate in training of new Associates as directed by the Supervisor.
  • Perform any other project/task as assigned by Management.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent is desired.
  • Successful completion of Competency Assessment may be considered in lieu of education.
  • One (1) year manufacturing experience is preferred.
  • Ability to perform basic math (i.e., addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
  • Ability to read a tape measure.
  • Good computer/systems skills - MS Office (Excel/Word/Outlook).
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 55 pounds regularly as part of daily production activities.
  • Good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to read and comprehend written instructions.
  • Ability to visually identify color differences in finished goods and to check material for contaminants or inconsistencies.
  • Good cooperation and collaboration skills.
  • Good organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
  • High degree of concentration with attention to detail, high energy and self-motivated.
  • Ability to manage demands and deal with frequent changes, delays, or unexpected events through organization, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to interact well with all personality types.
