Job summary

Ionbond – The Surface Engineers is seeking a Production Operator in West Chicago, IL. You will perform tasks across coating and processing operations, load/unload parts, and assist machine operators to ensure quality and efficiency.

The role requires attention to detail and safe handling of parts in a fast-paced environment. Two shifts are available Monday through Friday, with start times 7:00 AM–3:30 PM or 3:00 PM–11:30 PM.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of manufacturing experience is preferred.
• Familiarity with manufacturing tools and machine operation.
• Ability to read instructions in English.

Responsibilities

• Perform assigned functions to meet customer orders, quality, and production standards.
• Load/unload products into machines and de-fixture batch loads after processing.
• Carry out basic visual inspections and assist machine operators as needed.
• Support other departments as required.

(2+ years preferred.) Mechanical, Electrical + Troubleshooting experience a plus! Familiarity with manufacturing tools and machine operation/equipment. Strong critical thinking skills. Ability to communicate effectively. Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Good dexterity skills, able to handle precision machined parts. Able to read instructions in English and read documents as small as 8-font size. Two shifts available, both working Monday through Friday from either 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM or 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM. Able to sit/stand during an 8-hour shift. Must be authorized to work in the US and pass a preplacement criminal background check and physical screening. *Applicants may start on contingent basis through staffing service.
