Job summary

IKO Industries Ltd. is seeking a production line operator to run the production line in our manufacturing facility. You will monitor equipment and ensure products meet quality specs while documenting production data.

Role requires lifting up to 50 pounds, standing for long periods, and working rotating shifts; forklift operation and dusty environments are part of daily duties. Competitive benefits and starting pay noted in the posting.

Qualifications

• Flexible, rotating shifts (8/10/12 hours).
• Minimum 2 years in heavy‑industrial manufacturing or construction preferred.
• Minimum 1 year forklift experience preferred.
• Able to work in a dusty environment.
• Manual dexterity and attention to detail.
• Fluent in verbal and written English.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety policies, programs, and procedures.
• Complete health & safety pre-start checklists.
• Ensure that products meet established quality specifications.
• Document quality checks at regular intervals.
• Operate manufacturing equipment per established procedures.
• Operate counterbalance, propane-powered forklift.
• Document production numbers and downtime using systems and reports.
• General housekeeping and other duties as assigned by Supervisory staff.

Job Summary:

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the successful candidate will be responsible for running the production line.

Compensation:

Starting rate is $28.22/hr

Job Responsibilities:

• Adhere to safety policies, programs, and procedures
• Complete health & safety pre-start checklists
• Ensure that products being produced meet established quality specifications
• Document quality checks at regular intervals
• Operate manufacturing equipment in accordance with established operating procedures
• Operate counterbalance, propane-powered forklift
• Document production numbers, items contributing to downtime (using computerized systems and hand‑written production reports)
• General housekeeping duties
• Additional duties as assigned by Supervisory staff

Qualifications:

• Able to work flexible, rotating production shifts 8/10/12 hours
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in heavy‑industrial manufacturing or construction industry preferred
• Minimum 1 year of proven forklift operating experience preferred
• Comfortable with working in a dusty environment
• Manual dexterity and attention to detail
• Fluent in verbal and written English
• Ability to follow direction and specific instructions
• Good communication skills
• Ability to safely perform heavy lifting up to 50 pounds on a routine basis
• Comfortable with standing for extended periods of time
• Must be able to work at heights and in confined spaces
• Must be able to walk and/or stand 90% of the shift
