Job summary

IKO Industries Ltd. in Hillsboro, OR is seeking a Production Operator to run the production line under supervision. You will operate machinery, ensure proper material feeding, monitor quality specs, and document results for shipment readiness.

The role requires the ability to work rotating shifts, lift up to 50 pounds, and maintain safety standards. Prior forklift experience and fluency in English are preferred as part of daily manufacturing operations.

Qualifications

  • Able to work flexible, rotating production shifts 8/10/12 hours.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in heavy-industrial manufacturing or construction industry preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year of proven forklift operating experience preferred.
  • Fluent in verbal and written English.
  • Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to safety policies, programs, and procedures.
  • Complete health & safety pre-start checklists.
  • Ensure that products being produced meet established quality specifications.
  • Document quality checks at regular intervals.
  • Operate manufacturing equipment in accordance with established operating procedures.
  • Operate counterbalance, propane-powered forklift.
  • Document production numbers, items contributing to downtime (using computerized systems and hand-written production reports).
  • General housekeeping duties.
  • Additional duties as assigned by Supervisory staff.

Job Description Role: Production Operator

Job Summary: Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the successful candidate will be responsible for running the production line. This includes operating machinery, ensuring that raw materials are fed properly through the manufacturing process, resolving line stoppages, clearing equipment jams, verifying finished products against quality specifications, and ensuring that products are properly prepared for shipment.

Compensation

Starting rate is $23.00/hr

  • Comfortable with standing for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to work at heights and in confined spaces
  • Must be able to walk and/or stand 90% of the shift
