Job summary

IKO Industries Ltd. is seeking a Production Operator to join our Hagerstown plant. You will run the production line, feed materials, and resolve line stoppages to ensure products meet quality specs and are prepared for shipment.

You will operate machinery, adhere to safety programs, and collaborate with the team on goals while supporting a clean, safe, and efficient manufacturing environment. Shift options include 10- or 12-hour schedules, with potential weekend work in the future.

Qualifications

• Fluent in verbal and written English.
• Ability to work 10 or 12 hour rotating shifts, including weekends in the future.
• Minimum 2 years in heavy-industrial manufacturing or construction preferred.
• Minimum 1 year forklift operating experience preferred.
• Comfortable in dusty environments and able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Operate manufacturing equipment per standard work instructions.
• Follow safety policies and procedures.
• Inspect raw materials and finished products against quality specs.
• Conduct regular quality checks.
• Collaborate with the team to meet goals and objectives.
• Operate counterbalance, propane-powered forklift.
• Record waste and downtime data in the system.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors.

Job Summary

We are currently seeking Production Operators to join our team of skilled professionals at our Hagerstown plant. Our features side-by-side assembly lines for 2 unique commercial roofing products (TPO and ISO). Both these products are manufactured with state-of-the-art equipment in a clean, safe, bright facility. Great Team Environment with growth potential for the right person. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the successful candidate will be responsible for running the production line. This includes operating machinery, ensuring that raw materials are fed properly through the manufacturing process, resolving line stoppages, clearing equipment jams, verifying finished products against quality specifications, and ensuring that products are properly prepared for shipment.

Compensation

$25.06/hr and moves to $26.87/hr after training

Job Responsibilities

• Operating manufacturing equipment in accordance with standard work instructions
• Adhering to safety policies, programs, and procedures
• Inspecting raw materials and finished products per quality specifications
• Conducting quality checks at regular intervals
• Working closely with the production team to meet goals/objectives
• Operating counterbalance, propane-powered forklift
• Entering waste, downtime data into the system
• Additional duties as assigned by Supervisory staff

Qualifications Required

• Must be able to work a 10 or 12 hour rotating shift (days/nights), including some future weekends.
• Preferred: Minimum 2 years’ experience in heavy-industrial manufacturing or construction industry
• Preferred: Minimum 1 year of proven forklift operating experience
• Comfortable with working in a dusty environment
• Manual dexterity and attention to detail
• Fluent in verbal and written English
• Ability to follow direction and specific instructions
• Good communication skills
• Ability to safely perform heavy lifting up to 50 pounds on a routine basis
• Comfortable standing for extended periods of time
• Must be able to work at heights and in confined spaces
• Must be able to walk and/or stand 90% of the shift
