Job summary

Laborup is seeking dependable Production Operators who want to build a career in CNC machining. You’ll start by learning how to safely operate CNC milling equipment, load and unload parts, inspect finished parts, and keep your machine running efficiently.

As you gain experience you’ll learn more advanced machining skills from an experienced team, including tooling, offsets, machine setups, troubleshooting, blueprint reading, and CNC programming.

Responsibilities

  • Learn to safely operate CNC mills and production equipment.

  • Keep machines running safely and efficiently throughout your shift.
  • Learn to inspect parts using calipers and other measuring tools.
  • Perform basic quality checks on finished parts.
  • Follow work instructions and production documentation.
  • Monitor machines and identify basic problems.
  • Keep your work area clean and organized.
  • Take ownership of your machine, production, and part quality.
  • Learn from experienced machinists and gradually develop more advanced CNC skills.

Job description

We are looking for dependable Production Operators who want to build a career in CNC machining.

This is a great opportunity for someone that is mechanically inclined, enjoys hands-on work, and wants to learn a skilled trade. You’ll start by learning how to safely operate CNC milling equipment, load and unload parts, inspect finished parts, and keep your machine running efficiently.

As you gain experience, you’ll have the opportunity to learn more advanced machining skills from an experienced team, including tooling, offsets, machine setups, troubleshooting, blueprint reading, and eventually CNC programming.

No advanced CNC machining experience is required. Previous manufacturing, machine operation, mechanical, automotive, maintenance, or other hands‑on experience can translate well.

Pay: $18–$22/hour, based on experience and ability

Available Shifts:

  • 1st Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
  • 2nd Shift: Monday–Friday, 3:30 PM–12:00 AM

  • Dependable with strong attendance
  • Comfortable working independently once trained
  • Attention to detail and quality
  • Experience with measuring tools, blueprints, CNC equipment, or other industrial machinery is a plus
