Job summary

Grain Millers in Newton, WI (just outside Manitowoc) is seeking a Production Operator for first shift on a rotation training program. No experience necessary; you will learn all production equipment.

The Production Operator supports milling operations by operating production equipment, with a Monday-Thursday schedule (6am-4:30pm) and three-day weekends. Starting wage is $20/hour with increases after training.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Basic computer skills; ability to work in a team and pay attention to detail.
• Must follow instructions and manage time effectively.
• Able to work independently while coordinating with others.
• Willing to perform varying tasks per supervisor's instructions.
• Proficiency in English preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery used in cleaning and handling of specialty food ingredients.
• Operate bagging equipment and palletizer.
• Lift packaged products manually (up to 50 pounds frequently).
• Count finished products to determine if orders are complete.
• General plant and ground sanitation.
• Frequently lift/move equipment, chemical containers, and other materials.
• Wear personal protective equipment in food processing areas.
• Perform tasks safely per SOPs.

The Production Operator is primary responsibility for supporting the milling function by operating the production equipment.

• Job Status: Full-time
