Job summary

CertainTeed, a Saint-Gobain company, seeks a Production Operator at our Silver Grove, KY site to run wallboard production lines and uphold safety and quality standards.

Starting wage is $21/hour with a $2.00 shift differential. Join a team focused on safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement in a 5S environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Manufacturing experience: 1 year preferred.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Willing to work 12-hour rotating shifts.
• Attendance and reliability for days, nights, or weekends.
• Willingness to work overtime as required.
• Must wear PPE (hearing protection, steel-toe shoes, safety glasses, hard hats).
• Able to lift/carry up to 70 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Follow and promote all safety rules and SOPs.
• Work on production line with continuous-running equipment.
• Maintain organized workstation in a 5S manufacturing environment.
• Update required production and quality documentation.
• Meet quality standards and report defects.
• Communicate with coworkers, other shifts, and departments.
• Maintain accurate inventory records as needed.

Shift: Varies
Compensation: Starting wage $21/hour PLUS a $2.00 shift differential

Production Operator Duties:

• Follow and promote all safety rules and demonstrate knowledge of safe operating procedures
• Work amongst continuous running production equipment
• Maintain well organized and clean workstation in a 5S manufacturing environment
• Update required documentation in support of efficient production processes and to ensure a quality product
• Perform to all quality expectations, isolate and report all defects, ensure that product meets all dimensional and cosmetic standards, and adhere to all SOP standards
• Communicate efficiently and professionally with coworkers, other shifts, and other departments
• Utilize tap measure for quality checks and utilize computer systems/HMI screen regularly
• Count and maintain accurate inventory records as needed

• Ability to lift, pull, push, and carry up to 70 pounds
