Job summary

Commercial Metals is seeking a capable laborer in San Marcos, TX. You will operate hand tools, assist in assembling and shipping orders, and help keep the yard and work area organized. The role involves physical tasks and teamwork in a dynamic environment.

What You'll Do

• Operating hand tools, such as Power Washer, Grinder, Air Hammer
• Assemble customer orders from stock and place on pallets, shelves, or relocate orders to a holding area or shipping department
• Assist in counting of physical inventory
• Assist in filling work/shipping orders
• Assist in unloading and loading customers
• Inspect outgoing material for accuracy
• Sort, stack, repair, clean, pack, remove, and dispose of materials as directed
• Maintain work area and location organized and clean for orderliness at all times
• Move materials and items from receiving and/or storage areas to shipping or other designated areas
• Perform a wide range of physical activities which include pulling, pushing, reaching, bending over, climbing, and kneeling
• Other duties as assigned in general support of the organization
