Job summary

CMC in San Marcos, TX is seeking a hands-on worker to support operations across receiving, storage, and shipping. You will operate hand tools and a forklift, assemble customer orders, and help count inventory while maintaining a clean, safe work area.

The role offers daily training and opportunities to advance in a steel/construction support environment. The position requires lifting up to 50 pounds, the ability to work in varied climates, and strong organizational skills to multi-task

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate with customers, employees, and business leaders.
• Ability to operate a forklift.
• Ability to work in uncontrolled climate environment and in the elements.
• Ability to operate hand tools.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
• Great organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Operating hand tools, such as Power Washer, Grinder, Air Hammer
• Assemble customer orders from stock and place on pallets, shelves, or relocate orders to a holding area or shipping department
• Assist in counting of physical inventory
• Assist in filling work/shipping orders
• Assist in unloading and loading customers
• Inspect outgoing material for accuracy
• Sort, stack, repair, clean, pack, remove, and dispose of materials as directed
• Maintain work area and location organized and clean for orderliness at all times
• Move materials and items from receiving and/or storage areas to shipping or other designated areas
• Perform a wide range of physical activities which include pulling, pushing, reaching, bending over, climbing, and kneeling
• Other duties as assigned in general support of the organization
