Job description

Do you have experience working in a manufacturing environment and seeking new employment on the 1st shift? Staffmark is hiring a new Production Operator in Putnam, CT. If you have strong analytical skills and are familiar with inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, optical comparators, protractors, etc.), apply today for this exciting temp-to-hire opportunity!

Pay: $18 per hour

1st Shift Hours: 7 AM - 3:30 PM

Lifting Requirements: Up to 80 pounds unassisted

Essential Functions:

1. Safely operate various types of equipment (straightening and cutting machinery, grinding equipment, mechanical presses, final cut machines, and bending fixtures).
2. Analyze job routers/travelers and instructions to complete production tasks.
3. Use material handling equipment such as hand trucks and media trucks to move products within the facility.
4. Perform preventive maintenance for manufacturing and facilities-related equipment.
5. Perform visual inspections of equipment before and during operation to prevent machinery failures.
6. Utilize measurement equipment such as a micrometer or caliper.
