Energy Jobline ZR in Wilmington, NC is seeking a production operator to run recycling and extrusion lines, ensuring quality and adherence to specifications. The role requires attention to equipment setup, process control and documentation.

You will work a 12-hour shift, with the ability to troubleshoot issues, maintain a safe work environment, and assist in training newer operators as needed.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year in manufacturing or production.
• At least 1 year extrusion experience.
• Strong mechanical and troubleshooting ability.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for 12 hours.

Responsabilidades

• Operate, monitor, adjust, start and shut down recycling equipment.
• Operate extrusion and pelletizing equipment.
• Process, batch and stage plastics per specifications.
• Monitor product quality and adjust equipment as needed.
• Troubleshoot production equipment issues.
• Operate forklifts, skid steers and other material-handling equipment.
• Complete production, quality and equipment documentation.
• Follow safety procedures including lockout/tagout.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Assist training of less-experienced operators.

Day Shift: 6:45 AM–7:00 PM
Night Shift: 6:45 PM–7:00 AM

Job responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, adjust, start and shut down recycling equipment.
• Operate pulverizers, extrusion, melt-blending and pelletizing equipment.
• Process, batch and stage plastic materials according to specifications.
• Monitor product quality and make necessary equipment adjustments.
• Troubleshoot equipment and production issues.
• Operate forklifts, skid steers and other material‑handling equipment.
• Complete production, quality and equipment documentation.
• Follow safety procedures, including lockout/tagout requirements.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Assist with training less‑experienced operators.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Previous manufacturing, machine-operation or production experience.
• At least one year of extrusion experience; plastics experience is .
• Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
• Forklift or skid‑steer experience is .
