What We Offer

This role offers a starting pay of $28.66 per hour (paid bi-weekly), with the opportunity for an increase upon satisfactory completion of required job training. This is a full-time role that includes annual bonus potential, generous paid time off, 401K with company match, retirement contributions, tuition reimbursement, parental leave, and medical, dental, and vision coverage (no waiting period).

The purpose of the Production Operator role is to operate and troubleshoot plant extrusion equipment, machines, and lines, such as feeders, extruders, computers, scales, forklifts, packers, and chain hoists. You must follow standard operating procedures and prioritize health, safety, and compliance. This role provides an opportunity to learn about plant operations and can lead to career advancement with increased responsibilities.

Major Responsibilities:

• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot extrusion equipment; handle line cleanups and changeovers.
• Prepare production run formulation premixes.
• Calibrate feeders and calculate factor numbers based on run sheets, equipment, and materials.
• Package and transfer finished products.
• Maintain departmental documentation.
• Make calculations using English and Metric systems.
• Transfer raw materials.
• Sample and analyze products visually and through testing as needed.
• Operate capacity shuttle yard trucks.
• Operate computer systems for various functions required for your job.

What You Offer

Basic Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• One year of manufacturing experience.
• Meet minimum Work Keys test scores.

Knowledge & Skills:

• Forklift training.
• Attain/maintain shuttle yard truck certification.
• Attain/maintain operator qualification.
• Proven problem-solving skills to adjust equipment for high-quality output.
• Clear and accurate communication across shifts and departments.
• Ability to work in teams to improve products and processes.
