Job summary

Dura-Line, part of Orbia Connectivity Solutions, seeks a Downstream Production Operator in Lubbock, TX. You will collaborate with the team to load, wrap, and finalize reels, use measuring devices, and ensure quality and safety during long shifts.

Qualifications

• High school education preferred.
• Basic math and reading comprehension skills.
• At least 6 months of equipment or machine operation experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to follow work instructions and maintain safety, quality, and attention to detail in repetitive tasks.
• Experience using measuring devices and hand tools.
• Material handling or forklift experience preferred.
• Physical requirements include standing, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working around hot machinery and noise.

Responsibilities

• Use tools and measuring devices to ensure final product meets specifications and catch abnormalities.
• Collaborate with team members so orders are wound onto reels correctly.
• Ensure neat wraps on reels.
• Cut, tie off, and cap conduit when reels or cable are complete.
• Monitor print and footage, and make corrections as needed.
• Perform checks for product and packaging requirements.
• Complete paperwork for inventory transactions.
• Assist Line Operator during start-ups and support cutting, tie-offs, and reel changes.
• Participate in training, safety, and continuous improvement activities.
• Report unsafe conditions and equipment issues.

Key Responsibilities:

• Physical requirements include moving around obstacles, wearing PPE, standing and walking for 12 hours, working around hot machinery, weather, and noise, and lifting, pushing, or pulling up to 50 lbs.

Our Offer:
The compensation for this position is typically start at $19/Hour.

The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. The compensation package may also include short and long-term incentive compensation.
