Job summary

3M is hiring a Production Operator for 12-hour night shifts (6:00pm-6:30am) at onsite Clinton, TN. You will produce and assemble products, operate and maintain machinery, and ensure quality and safety in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Applicants should have a High School Diploma or GED, be able to work overtime, weekends, and holidays, and have at least one year of manufacturing experience. Relocation not authorized; must be legally eligible to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

  • Produce and assemble products in the plant.
  • Operate and maintain machinery, ensure production standards are met, finalize products, and prepare them for shipping.
  • Observe safety procedures and maintain a clean, safe work area.
  • Apply quality instructions & specifications.
  • Monitor production or packing operations to meet quality objectives.
  • Load/unload material into and from equipment.
  • Collaborate with teammates through information sharing, problem solving and assistance.

  • Responsible for producing and assembling products in the plant
  • Operate and maintain machinery, ensure production standards are met, finalize products, and prepare them for shipping
  • Observing all safety procedures, maintain a clean and safe work area
  • Applying quality instructions & specifications
  • Monitoring the production or packing operation to ensure quality objectives are met
  • Loading/unloading material into & from equipment
  • Working as a team member through sharing information, problem solving & assisting others

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Possess a High School Diploma / GED or higher (completed prior to start)
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends and holidays as needed
  • Minimum (1) one year of manufacturing experience in a private, public, government, or military environment

Applicants meeting the basic qualifications above may be required to take and pass 3M elected testing as part of the selection process.

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Post-high school education
  • Basic computer knowledge

The starting rate of pay for this position is $21.41 per hour with shift differentials. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position.
