Job summary

Kerry in Grovetown, GA is hiring for a 12Hr Night Shift Production Operator. Working 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM with a 48/36 rotating schedule and a $1.20 night shift differential.

You’ll operate and set up equipment, troubleshoot issues, and help meet production goals in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, 2 years of manufacturing experience, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 2 years of manufacturing experience.
  • Strong technical skills and knowledge of machines and equipment.
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Detail-oriented with good problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate equipment to optimize machine capability and product output.
  • Troubleshoot routine equipment malfunctions to maintain quality.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Follow SOPs, GMPs, safety rules, and housekeeping procedures.
  • Report safety issues and participate in food safety and plant safety training.
  • Maintain a hazard-free work area and wear appropriate PPE.
  • Notify supervisor of issues and perform other duties as assigned.

Our Banks Crossing, GA location is part of our Taste division and creates a variety of stock broth, soups, and bases. We have an immediate opening for a 12Hr Night Shift Production Operator. Working 700PM - 700AM, hours will be 48/36 alternating with the 2-2-3 rotating schedule.
$1.20 cent shift differential for working Night Shift!
Key responsibilities

As a Production Operator, you’ll safely set up and operate equipment to optimize machine capability and product output. Applying your knowledge and skill to troubleshoot and address routine equipment malfunctions and ensure high quality goods are produced.

We’ll count on you to help us meet our customer and consumer needs as you

  • Communicate with other team members, such as supervisors, quality control personnel, or other manufacturing operators to coordinate production activities and ensure production goals are met.
  • Accurately maintain records and documentation as required.
  • Follow SOP's, GMP's safety rules, sanitation rules, good housekeeping procedures, and company rules of conduct.
  • Report food safety problems and participate in all company training for food safety and plant safety.
  • Follow strict safety procedures while maintaining a hazard-free work area including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment and ensuring all safety protocols are followed.
  • Notify supervisor of unusual problems, delays, and/or safety issues
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and skills
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • At least 2 years’ experience or in a similar role in the manufacturing industry
  • Strong technical skills and knowledge of various types of machines and equipment
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
  • Flexible and willing to adapt to changes
  • Ability to work independently and well with others in fast paced, dynamic environment.
  • Must be able to read, write, perform basic mathematical calculations, and accurately record data required.
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to frequently stand, walk, kneel, reach, climb, pull, and bend with full range of body motion.
  • Must be able to work in uncomfortable environments including hot, cold, wet and/or humid conditions. Occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals will occur. Possible exposure to nut allergens.
