Job description

Job Description

Sika's manufacturing plant in Aurora, Illinois, produces pigmented powders, tinted liquids, concrete stains, and textured stamps used in residential and commercial decorative concrete applications. The products are used in concrete sidewalks, patios, driveways, and flooring throughout North America. The hourly wage starts at $21/hour.

Responsibilities:

1. Operate machinery following established procedures.
2. Ensure palletized materials match batch tickets.
3. Empty approved batches into appropriate containers for bagging and dispense into final packaging.
4. Verify that label and stencil information on bags and containers match batch tickets.
5. Adjust set points on scale heads for proper weight.
6. Send samples to the lab for contamination checks.
7. Record packaging totals on batch sheets.
8. Thoroughly clean machines between incompatible batches.

Qualifications:

• Experience in a manufacturing environment is helpful.
• Strong work ethic demonstrating character, competence, and commitment.
• Proficiency in basic math skills.
• Ability to withstand exposure to hot and cold environments.
• Experience working with powders (sand, cement, color, pigment, etc.).
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. repetitively throughout the day.
