Production Operator
Job Summary
Responsible for daily operations of the production floor, ensuring safety, quality, and production goals are met in compliance with all applicable legal and food safety requirements.
Essential Functions
- Perform daily activities of the production line(s) ensuring product adheres to safety, quality, and throughput standards.
- Accurately complete applicable quality and production reports hourly.
- Perform physical and visual inspections of product to prevent non-conforming goods.
- Report all quality defects to the appropriate team members and shift leadership.
- Adhere to company and plant safety programs, guidelines, rules, and regulations.
- Abide by Niagara’s GMP and Food Safety Standards at all times.
- Maintain general housekeeping in all areas of production and additional areas assigned by plant leadership.
- Maintain appropriate level of raw materials to ensure minimal downtime.
- Demonstrate aptitude and skill to work in all assigned areas of production; troubleshoot minor production line issues and perform relief duties when required.
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance; work 12‑hour shifts, day or night, on a rotating 2‑2‑3 schedule or as dictated by production demand.
