Job summary

PPG Cleveland, OH plant is hiring a Production Operator to join our manufacturing team. The role offers 2nd and 3rd shift with pay rate of $24.22 per hour, plus overtime as needed and shift differential.

You will support setup, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of production equipment to ensure quality products for customers. You will also assist with equipment maintenance, inspections, and safe operation of trucks moving equipment between areas.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a consistent basis throughout the day.
• Experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manufacturing Production Workers focus on setting up, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting manufacturing production (i.e., machining, processing, assembly, or packaging) equipment.
• Setup the production equipment and supplies before executing the job orders and operate equipment safely and effectively for production processing.
• Ensure that equipment is maintained in good and safe working condition.
• Inspect equipment to identify any replacements, malfunctions, and repairs.
• Perform regular equipment maintenance to ensure production capacity and quality. Provide assistance to junior operators in their assigned responsibilities.
• Repair and clean the equipment when needed. Evaluate equipment performance and recommend improvements.
• Operate trucks and other industrial vehicles to transfer the production equipment between warehouse and working area. Follow safety procedures and company policies for equipment operation.
