Personna Employment Solutions is partnering with a renewable fuels and specialty products manufacturer to hire a Production Operator for a continuous-process facility. You will operate and monitor production equipment, track key process parameters, and perform basic troubleshooting to keep operations safe and efficient.

This hands-on role requires safe work practices, ability to document conditions, and collaboration with maintenance and operations teams.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 1+ year manufacturing/industrial experience preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with production equipment and basic troubleshooting.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to perform inspections.

Job description

We are partnering with an established manufacturer in the renewable fuels and specialty products industry seeking a Production Operator for a continuous-process production facility.

This is a hands-on industrial operations role responsible for safely operating, monitoring, and troubleshooting production equipment throughout the manufacturing process.

Production Operators work closely with Operations, Maintenance, Laboratory, and Engineering teams to maintain safe and reliable production, meet quality standards, identify equipment or process issues, and minimize downtime.

Schedule

Training: Monday-Friday, 8-hour day shifts during onboarding and training.

Regular Schedule: Following successful completion of training, employees will transition to a 4-day afternoon shift, with start times generally between 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM, depending on

operational needs.

Overtime, weekends, holidays, and schedule flexibility may occasionally be required.

What You'll Do
  • Operate, monitor, start, stop, and adjust industrial production equipment.
  • Monitor process conditions through computerized control systems, HMI/SCADA interfaces, field instrumentation, and routine equipment rounds.
  • Track operating parameters including temperatures, pressures, flows, tank levels, and production rates.
  • Identify abnormal process or equipment conditions and take appropriate corrective action.
  • Perform routine equipment and facility inspections.
  • Assist with basic troubleshooting and coordinate with Maintenance when equipment repairs are required.
  • Collect production samples and support routine quality testing.
  • Record production data, equipment conditions, process changes, and shift activities.
  • Maintain accurate shift logs and communicate operational conditions during shift turnover.
  • Follow plant safety procedures, operating standards, environmental requirements, and applicable food/feed safety programs.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, production efficiency, equipment reliability, quality, and downtime reduction.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe production areas.
Candidates must have:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 1+ year of experience in manufacturing, industrial production, processing, plant operations, or a similar industrial environment.
  • Hands‑on experience operating, monitoring, maintaining, or troubleshooting industrial or production equipment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and basic troubleshooting ability.
  • Ability to safely perform equipment inspections and recognize abnormal operating conditions.
  • Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn computerized production‑control systems.
  • Ability to accurately document operating conditions, production activity, and equipment issues.
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a cross‑functional operations team.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to work the required schedule, including overtime, weekends, or holidays when operationally necessary.

  • Working within cGMP, food safety, feed safety, or other regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Supporting preventive maintenance or equipment troubleshooting.
  • Participating in continuous improvement or process optimization initiatives.
