Job summary

Chief Ethanol seeks an Operator to operate, control and troubleshoot the ethanol production facility, ensuring quality and efficiency across shifts. You will learn production equipment, follow start-up and shutdown procedures, and maintain logs while supporting safety practices.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Learn and operate production equipment and processes.
  • Follow start-up, shutdown, cleaning, and routine procedures.
  • Sample and analyze process streams during shifts.
  • Keep accurate and timely logs.
  • Adjust operations based on data to optimize plant performance.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and well-kept facility.
  • Perform quality control tests on product streams.
  • Follow safety procedures to ensure a safe work environment.

Job description

Operate, control and trouble-shoot process areas of ethanol production facility while maintaining quality and efficiency goals. Operator may work in different areas or positions including relief support for Shift Lead Operator and special assignment as set by the Shift Lead Operator and/or the Production Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Learn and operate production equipment and processes
  • Follow procedures for plant start-up, shutdown, cleaning, and routine operations
  • Sample and analyze process streams as required during shift
  • Keep accurate and timely logs
  • Respond to collected data and make adjustments to optimize plant operations
  • Keep plant facility clean and well maintained
  • Perform quality control tests on product streams as needed
  • Follow safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment .

Education:

  • High School diploma, or GED, preferred.

Shift:

  • All Production Operators must be willing and able to work rotating shifts .

Experience
