Job summary

Chief Industries, Inc. is seeking a Production Operator for its Nebraska ethanol facility. You will operate and troubleshoot process areas, support shift leads, and help meet safety and quality goals across rotating shifts.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED (preferred) and 3–5 years of math and chemical processing experience. We offer full company benefits including health, life, holidays, education assistance, and more.

Responsibilities

  • Operate production equipment and processes.
  • Follow startup, shutdown, cleaning, and routine procedures.
  • Sample and analyze process streams during shifts.
  • Maintain accurate logs and data records.
  • Adjust operations based on data to optimize performance.
  • Maintain a clean and safe plant environment.
  • Perform quality control tests on product streams.
  • Adhere to safety procedures and policies.

Job description

Operate, control and trouble-shoot process areas of ethanol production facility while maintaining quality and efficiency goals. Operator may work in different areas or positions including relief support for Shift Lead Operator and special assignment as set by the Shift Lead Operator and/or the Production Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Learn and operate production equipment and processes
  • Follow procedures for plant start-up, shutdown, cleaning, and routine operations
  • Sample and analyze process streams as required during shift
  • Keep accurate and timely logs
  • Respond to collected data and make adjustments to optimize plant operations
  • Keep plant facility clean and well maintained
  • Perform quality control tests on product streams as needed
  • Follow safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment .

Education:

  • High School diploma, or GED, preferred.

Shift:

  • All Production Operators must be willing and able to work rotating shifts .

Experience

Understanding of math and chemical processing systems
