Job description

Sika's manufacturing plant in Aurora, Illinois is producing pigmented powders, tinted liquids, concrete stains, and textured stamps used in residential and commercial decorative concrete applications. The products are used in concrete sidewalks, patios, driveways, and flooring throughout North America.

Responsibilities
  1. Operate machinery following established procedures.
  2. Ensure palletized materials match the batch tickets.
  3. Empty approved batches into appropriate container for bagging, dispensing into final packaging.
  4. Ensure label and stencil information on bags and containers match batch ticket.
  5. Adjust set points on scale heads for proper weight.
  6. Send sample material to lab for contamination checks.
  7. Record packaging totals on batch sheets.
  8. Thoroughly clean machines between incompatible batches.
Preferred Skills
  1. Experience in a manufacturing environment helpful.
  2. Possess a strong work ethic displaying character, competence, and commitment.
  3. Proficiency in basic math.
  4. Ability to withstand exposure to hot and cold environments.
  5. Exposure to powders (sand, cement, color, pigment, etc.) environment.
  6. Ability to lift up to 60lbs repetitively throughout the day.
