Job description

In this position, employees will work in various roles on the finishing line, producing joint compound. As an operator, you will communicate product quality to the team and ensure quality standards are maintained. The role requires working rotating shifts, as the plant operates 24/7/365. Employees will learn multiple positions to cover vacancies, with the team managing daily operations to maintain a Preferred Choice status.

Location: Nashville, AR
Shift: All shifts, variable schedule
Compensation: $23.09

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Operate around heavy and moving equipment
  • Stand and walk for extended periods
  • Accurately maintain production records
  • Dump hoppers from the production area
  • Cross-train on other plant tasks
  • Maintain good attendance
  • Monitor, test, and inspect product quality
  • Monitor End-Tape
  • Perform all tasks safely, following safety policies and procedures
  • Perform Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures as required
  • Wear required PPE
  • Lift up to 75 lbs
  • Work independently and adhere to all job procedures
  • Be a team player
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Working Conditions:

  • Flexible schedule with days, nights, and weekends
  • Manufacturing environment with limited HVAC, concrete floors, noise, dust, chemicals, and temperature variations
  • 24/7 plant operation; hours vary based on needs
  • Long hours, weekends, and holidays may be required
