Job summary

Mohawk Industries, a Fortune 500 global flooring leader, seeks a Production Operations Manager in Georgia. You will plan production operations, set priorities, and coordinate schedules to meet customer promises.

You will partner with Maintenance and Engineering, contribute to process improvements, manage budgets, and ensure safety and quality standards across the plant. This role requires leadership, strong communication, and the ability to handle multiple projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in a related field.
• 6–8 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combo of education and experience.
• 1–3 years of management experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan production operations for locations and establish priorities to meet customer promises.
• Prepare operational schedules and coordinate department activities to ensure specifications; monitor daily output.
• Participate in process improvements, upgrades, and projects.
• Coordinate routine maintenance with Maintenance/Engineering to maximize equipment availability.
• Develop and collaborate with distribution owners to optimize costs and service.
• Manage employee relations, scheduling and disciplinary actions as needed.
• Work with Safety and Quality teams to maintain standards and training.
• Assist in budgeting for cost-effective production processes.
• Participate in short-term planning meetings addressing labor and productivity.
• Apply technology to business processes and stay current with industry trends.
• Perform other duties as needed.
