Job summary

The role involves planning, scheduling, and supervising staff in a manufacturing environment. The position requires strong leadership, safety compliance, and communication skills, with a preference for a Bachelor's degree and some related experience.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations with limited standardization.
• Ability to interpret written, oral, diagram, or schedule form instructions.
• 6 months to 1 year related experience or training.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Directs and coordinates activities of production department(s).
• Plan production operations, establishing priorities and sequences.
• Prepare schedules and coordinate manufacturing activities to ensure quality and timelines.
• Review reports and resolve operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems.
• Inspect machines and equipment for performance and safety.
• Develop or revise standard operating procedures and ensure compliance.
• Interview, hire, and train employees; plan and direct work.
• Enforce safety rules and observe workers to ensure standards.
• Investigate injuries, illnesses, and property damage; report findings.
