Job summary

UniFirst is seeking an Assistant Production Manager in Texas to lead training, uphold safety and quality standards, and drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.

The role reports to the Production Manager and requires a proven leadership track, cross-functional collaboration, and a focus on cost-saving opportunities while maintaining high performance and service orientation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 2+ years of production management experience with leadership and process improvement skills
• High School diploma or GED required; valid driver’s license and safe driving record
• Minimum 2 years of relevant leadership experience and ability to lead and develop teams
• Financial literacy to analyze production costs and drive data-based decisions
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Familiarity with ISO standards and Lean Six Sigma methodologies
• Commitment to safety and compliance initiatives
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is highly preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead team training and uphold facility standards
• Optimize processes with continuous improvement initiatives
• Achieve production targets while maintaining quality and controlling costs
• Support and foster a collaborative, accountable, high-performing environment
• Ensure safety compliance with regular inspections and training
• Oversee inventory, vendor relations, and equipment maintenance
• Develop and implement production schedules and drive operational improvements
• Collaborate with Service, Sales, Maintenance, and Office departments to align goals
