Qualifications

• Post high school education is required.
• 3–5 years in manufacturing with 1–3 years of people management.
• Ability to set up agendas with clear timeframes and visual aids.
• Strong communication skills to engage listeners and ask questions.
• Proficiency with Inside UFPI; knowledge of UFP policy training and navigation.
• Familiarity with Citrix and email etiquette; awareness of timelines and deadlines.
• Knowledge of CI: 5S and TPM; communicate their importance before implementation.
• Attention to detail; reporting accuracy and double-check systems.
• Organize day-to-day work with flexibility; maintain daily feedback loops.
• Commitment to safety; work with JDA's and JSA's; ensure safety leaders are involved.
• Training in machine audits, LOTO, and safety improvements.
• Daily interaction with maintenance for machine reliability and MTTR/MTBF awareness.
• Forklift Driver licensing process completion.

Responsibilities

• Manages production operations of multiple departments and shifts.
• Leads a group of employees; drives maximum productivity.
• Identifies, researches, and resolves problems and opportunities.
• Evaluates performance of individuals and programs.
• Coaches and counsels employees.
• Ensures compliance with UFP policies, procedures and law.
• Communicates with employees and management as required.
• Manages department cost and profitability; oversees inventory.
• Leads CI initiatives and safety programs.
• Prepares reports and maintains records.
• Participates in Safety Committee and ensures safety standards.
• Performs other duties; may support Treating Department with hazardous materials handling.
• May operate forklift to move material as needed.
• Performs other duties as required.
