Omaha Public Power District (OPPD) seeks an Auxiliary Operator trainee to perform tasks for the safe, reliable operation of auxiliary equipment at North Omaha Station or Nebraska City Station. Responsibilities include generating work orders, surveillance checks, rounds, equipment isolation, and performance tests to support unit operations.
Incumbents progress from Helper to Auxiliary Operator and eventually to Equipment Operator within three years, by completing required training.

High school diploma/GED with two years power plant, industrial operations, or military experience to include operating or maintaining large equipment and troubleshooting interrelated power plant systems.
